Kenya’s vested interests in war-torn Somalia has made it difficult to move out since it launched the Operation Linda Nchi, according to George Kegoro, the Executive Director Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC).

“This is an extremely worrying moment in Kenya since we ventured in to Somalia in 2012. We have ensured that Somalia’s ravaged economic state has become a one entity with Kenya,” he notes.

Kegoro urgues that, Kenya has remained in Somalia because of personal interests which have legal implications which can be alluded to the country committing war crimes in contravention of both under the laws governing the military and under the Geneva Convention.
